Tuesday 28th October 2014 was a sad day for Zambia. It was a day the Republican President Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata passed on.
We had on the early hours of 24th October 2014 as part of our Jubilee intercession offered prayers for the healing of our beloved President. The Church in Zambia as a whole interceded but death robbed us of our head of state. Death is a present reality. It comes suddenly and always catches us unaware.
As we mourn, we are comforted that President Sata feared the Lord and regularly attended mass.
We are grateful to God that President Sata initiated various developmental projects such as road construction, new districts, stadiums, universities and others.
He demonstrated courage and hard work to better the lives of Zambians which brought significant development especially the road sector. He championed the cause of the poor and campaigned for more money in the pockets of the low end earners. Certainly death has robbed us of a good man who has accomplished so much within a short period.
When Moses died, God raised Joshua to lead the Children of Israel to the promised land. God’s destiny for Zambia will be fulfilled. I believe God has a Joshua waiting on the way to take the mantle. God loves Zambia and has a plan for this nation. We should put our trust in God.
We are going forward and not backwards as a nation. God the creator of heaven and earth will come through for us. Let us look to Him as our helper. Psalm 121:1 .It is time to engage God in prayer. It is time to trust God for guidance and wisdom. God will come through for Zambia.
