| Thanksgiving Service |

Sunday 27th December was a day of thanksgiving for Bread of Life church. This was a time to thank God for what he has done in the year 2009. Many people have been blessed and manifested. A believer is expected to live a life of thanksgiving. Presiding Bishop Joe Imakando challenged the congregation to have an attitude of thanks and support the work of God such as the Blessing Centre building project. The Bishop read an account of Noah from Genesis 8:20 in a message entitled, 'Noah's Blessing.' God’s first destruction of the world was because of sin. The sight of the earth broke God’s heart and the earth was flooded. But Noah and his family survived the flood. After the flood, the first thing he did was to give thanks to the Lord by expressing his dedication to God for saving him and his family. In the similar manner, God has granted us good health in 2009. Noah Built an Alter Genesis 8:20, after coming out of the ark, Noah built an altar and gave thanks to God. Bishop Joe Imakando encouraged the congregation during thanks giving service that an offering is a divine exchange between man and God. Noah built an altar a place to meet God and made an offering of thanks giving. You have to give from what you have, it must be a sacrifice and the fire of God will not fail. What you do will bring a turnaround in your life. Bread of Life church is building the Blessing Centre with an auditorium that will sit 10,000 people. The Blessing Centre has now reached the roof level. The Bishop mentioned that when you give towards the roof, God will cover you. Every seed you sow will bring a harvest; you will be favoured, established and blessed. A sacrifice will lift you to another level.A thanks giving guarantees that your blessing is permanent. And Bread of life church which is currently on a building program had opportunity to see how far the construction of the ‘Blessing Centre’ has gone. A model of the roof structure, a plan of the wielding machines, steel bars and pipes were put on display in order to create an atmosphere of building.
Deacon Akayombokwa (l) Testified of what the Lord had done in his life in the year of manifestation. He said, ‘during the word explosion conference in August this year, a challenge was given to the congregation to give. Mr. Akayombokwa responded by giving double the amount. After four weeks there was an amazing manifestation of God’s grace and abundant provisions. His retirement package that had delayed was given to him and his health is restored and he is now very fit and healthy.
Deacon Mark Muteta (l) In 2007 Mr. Muteta ran with the theme, ‘The anointing for completion’. He has been a consistent giver of tithes, offerings and to the Blessing Centre building project. He was promoted to the post of Manager. But surprisingly he was laid off from work a few months later. He did not despair but went to seek advice from the Bishop who told him that all shall be well. At that time his wife was running a small shop and God has blessed that business. They are now running a successful and vibrant business. Even after having lost a job Mr. and Mrs. Muteta have been constant givers. He encouraged others to adopt the attitude of giving. And Blessing Centre Project Manager Elder Anderson Malumo told the church that steel has been purchased for the roof structure and work has commenced.
And Blessing Centre Project Manager Elder Anderson Malumo told the church that steel has been purchased for the roof structure and work has commenced. Roof engineer Freddie Miganda Mr. Miganda explained to the church that currently the ring beam around the main auditorium is being put up. An extension of 4 metres will done to the main pillars after which the final ring beam upon which the roof will sit. Steel works have also begun to fabricate the roof structure, however a model will be assembled on the ground (this is called a mock assembly) after which it will be dismantled and hoist up to be fixed finally. Engineer Miganda thanked the church for their effort but also reminded them to continue giving towards the project and also emphasised prayer as a very vital component of the project.
