|
The first Three Days of Power Conference, with Bishop Joe Imakando, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central Africa, was held in Lubumbashi, Bel Air’s Quarters Katanga Province from 2nd to 4th July 2010. The Conference under the theme “A Season of Fruitfulness,” greatly impacted the church as God used the Bishop to faithfully deliver His word. The Bishop was accompanied by Reverends George Chanda and Kangwa Mumba, overseers of Bread of Life Churches on the Copperbelt, Zambia. The conference was also graced by several ministers of the gospel from within Lubumbashi and a few from Kinshasa. Bread of Life church is spreading the gospel of Jesus in DR Congo, a vast country that endured years of civil war. This year plans are underway to launch two more branches in the cities of Kinshasa and Mbuji-mayi. Currently there are two BLCI branches under Pastor Joshua Tshinabu in Bel Air, as the main church, with 600 members and Pastor Caleb Fwamba in Kamalondo’s quarter, with 150 members. With the current steady growth in the membership of the church, plans are under way to purchase two residential plots adjacent to the church plot.
