The Bread of life church youth ministry known as JG (Joshua Generation) is one of the most vibrant and active ministries of the church. The ministry is meant for youths of the church both male and female. After the children’s ministry, this is the next stage for the youths.

Through a prophetic word received from Bishop Joe Imakando in 2002 that the youth will bring revival to the church, by building young leaders and good leadership like that of Joshua, who was bold, courageous and lived by the standard of the word of God.

The Ministry is led by Pastor Oscar Mumba the Youth and Student ministry Pastor, upholds a vision of building God fearing responsible youths. This is done through calculated programs of discipleship and fellowship, consisting of various activities to impact our young people with the word of God.
Bread of Life church has launched a service for the youth at 11:00hs every Sunday. All the young people are most welcome.

In line with the vision of the church “Bringing thousands into the Kingdom”; the youth ministry is involved in Evangelism by conducting outreach programs.
-They create a platform for young people to grow spiritually, academically,  
-Talents and leadership skills
-Raise leaders that will impact the generation
-Cultivate youths who will be responsible
-Empower youths with knowledge that will help them make informed decisions

-The youths meet every Saturday for Youth Magazine from 14 to 16hours. This is the major program through which we reach the youth for two hours on a weekly basis. In addition we have a Sunday afternoon service once in a month.
-They also conduct Evangelism every Saturday from 09-12hrs in the morning
-They conduct joint services with youths from other branch churches
-They hold a leaders retreat for all the branch churches
-The Youth conference takes place every May
-The national youth camp takes place every December. Youths all over blci branches merge together.

The ministry also has fellowships in institutions of learning such as:

We currently have a good number of community youth clubs in places namely; Riverside (Chaisa), Kabanana, Matero, Emmasdale, Kabwata and many more.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can one become a Member of BLCI?
To start with, one has to give his or her life to the Lord that is to be born again. After this, one has to through a foundation class which basically aims at grounding the newly born again believer to the basic Christian principles. On completion, of the foundation class one goes through the waters of baptism after which one qualifies to be a member of Bread of Life Church International and will then be encouraged to join one of the many ministries the church has.
What organization is BLCI Affiliated to?
Bread of Life Church is affiliated to the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia, which fellowship was established in 1964 for the purpose of providing fellowship among the evangelical missionaries serving in Zambia.
When was Bread of Life Church founded?
Bread of Life Church International was founded on 13th September 1992 with a vision of bringing thousands into the kingdom of God. The church, then located on plot 136 Chinyunyu road in Emmasdale had a congregation of 120.
Who is the Presiding Bishop of BLCI?
Bishop Imakando is currently the Presiding Bishop of Bread of life Church International. He also happens to be the founder of Bread of Life Church in August 1992, when while in Lagos Nigeria God gave him the vision that led to the birth of Bread of life Church International.
